An Evening with Stewart Copeland
Tromp 2010 is gewijd aan percussie en drums. Deze eerste avond geeft een mooie doorsnee met als ster  van de avond, oprichter en drummer van The Police Stewart Copeland. Naast songs van The Police klinkt er nieuw werk van de componist Copeland. Zo brengt het Duitse slagwerkkwartet Elbtonal de wereldpremiere van Copeland's 'Mikrokosmos'.  Copeland speelt zelf samen met de New Yorks/Braziliaanse band Forro in the Dark, BEAM, violist Daniel Hope en last but not least, Amerika's meest avontuurlijke strijkkwartet, Ethel! 

De avond wordt geopend door meesterpercussionist Colin Currie en de Britse strijkers van het Heath Quartet. Ook met een wereldpremière!: 'Mojave' van de Amerikaanse componist Michael Torke. Gecomponeerd in goede Tromp-traditie: aansprekend, goed geschreven en wars van elke hokjesgeest.
