The world-famous a capella choir from Paul Simon’s Graceland has been one of the most successful acts to come out of South Africa for over half a century. The choir accompanied Nelson Mandela when he received the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo in 1993 and has won at least five Grammys. Their heart-warming and beautiful harmonies are irresistible and one-in-a-thousand.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo was founded by Joseph Shabala after he had a dream with a choir in it that was singing in perfect harmony. The outstanding reputation they enjoyed in their own country soon precluded their participation in talent competitions – it was unfair because they always won. Although Joseph Shabala no longer sings in the choir he has passed the baton to his four sons, who continue to spread the message of peace, love and harmony.
