‘Nicola Benedetti is on sensational form’. The Times gave the Scottish violin player five stars. And that is how she shines in Bruch, one of the most beloved romantic violin concertos.

So beloved, that Bruch believed ‘violins are starting to play it on their own by now.’ The remainder of today’s programme is Anglo-Saxon. The Royal Scottish National Orchestra has been one of Europe’s top-notch orchestras since 1891. Conducted by greats such as George Szell, John Barbirolli and Neeme Järvi. ‘Kaleidoscopic clarity,’ The Times wrote once again. Something very useful if we want to unlock the enigma of Elgar's most famous work.

We invite you to join us for a free introduction prior to the concert. The introduction will be presented by Bart de Graaf in the small hall, and will start at 19:30.

To keep waiting times down to an absolute minimum, this concert will make use of the 'wallet-less intermission' concept. Visitors are asked to pay for their intermission drink in advance when ordering their tickets: the perfect solution for enjoying your company and your drink as long as possible!
