Siebelink is always about regular folks. His famous novel Kneeling on a bed of violets, which became a huge best-seller, is no exception. He wrote it to better his understanding of his father’s world, a floriculturist struggling with faith and sectarianism. Tonight the writer is accompanied by Borboleta Music, an ensemble revolving around clarinettist André Kerver. Their music is improvised on the spot, mutually inspired by each other's various backgrounds in jazz, classical and world music.
