A cello like a melancholic swan, dancing elephants in the double basses, fossils that come to life in the xylophone, as if death is drumming your bones. But also two extremely fanatical pianists: ‘Who can go faster, you or I...’.

French master composer Saint-Saëns was able to portray the animal kingdom like no other through his delightful music. But why did he forbid it from being performed? And how did it gain such unprecedented popularity after his death? Maestro Jules will tell you all about it.

This is a Dutch spoken performance

To keep waiting times down to an absolute minimum, this concert will make use of the 'wallet-less intermission' concept. Visitors are asked to pay for their intermission drink in advance when ordering their tickets: the perfect solution for enjoying your company and your drink as long as possible!
