When the Brannon family and Bono (who we know from U2 of course) recorded the single In A Lifetime in 1995, it was an immediate break through. The single became nothing short of a world-wide hit. Clannad couldn’t perform anywhere without the audience singing along with their folk. Other well known songs, like the film soundtrack Harry’s Game and I Will Find You, are stuck in one’s memory. Clannad wrote the album Landmarks in 1997, earning them a Grammy in the Best New Age category. It grew to be one of the most famous Irish albums of all times.

Founder Padraig Duggan passed away in 2016. The original band members Moya, Ciaran and Pol Brennan as well as Noel Duggan decided to keep going and were soon reinforced with Moya Brannan’s daughter and son. Aisling and Paul became the new Clannad members. A large number of shows has been dedicated to Padraig Duggan, often to standing ovations.
