The symphonic magic of rapture and wonderment

The magical strength of Rachmaninoff’s music lifts you, transports you, enraptures you and leaves you in wonderment. With the Russian Romantic master’s Second Symphony, Dmitry Liss returns to the very first piece he ever conducted in front of our orchestra. 

The enchanting atmosphere and the moving melodies are intimately connected with the Russian soul of our chief-conductor. Dejan Lazic, who is seen as one of the greatest pianists of a new generation, will be sure to light fireworks on the piano, playing Franz Liszt: ‘His poetic, well-formed lines and vivid dynamic effects make his music fresh, spontaneous, and passionate’, as the New York Times writes about this Croatia-born pianist (who now resides in Amsterdam). 

To keep waiting times down to an absolute minimum, this concert will make use of the 'wallet-less intermission' concept. Visitors are asked to pay for their intermission drink in advance when ordering their tickets: the perfect solution for enjoying your company and your drink as long as possible!
