Deeply felt emotion and a crystal-clear understanding of Bruckner’s monumental symphonic harmonies are all part and parcel of Haenchen’s praxis. Now he returns with Bruckner’s Sixth Symphony. A majestic piece with grand vistas of nature and eternity. Even Bruckner himself considered this his absolute favourite. With Haenchen at the helm, we can be sure that a dynamic, colourful cathedral of sound awaits us. Joined by Wagner’s Lohengrin – again, with Haenchen, such a great couple! – and violin diva Isabelle van Keulen who performs the dreamy, Mahlerian Hymn by Alphons Diepenbrock.
To keep waiting times down to an absolute minimum, this concert will make use of the 'wallet-less intermission' concept. Visitors are asked to pay for their intermission drink in advance when ordering their tickets: the perfect solution for enjoying your company and your drink as long as possible!
