A few really good little tours have put Martha Fields in the hearts of the Dutch. Originally a true Texan, Fields devides her time nowadays between her home country the US and France. Martha joins all this with her enormous enthusiasm, making it hard to predict into what sort of party her performance is going to evolve, without compromising the musical quality. Her own beuatiful songs are complemented with known and unknown songs by others, that will invariably be given the 'Texas Martha - House of Twang' treatment. This autumn in Holland, she will be accompanied by string wizzard Manu Bertrand on dobro, banjo and resonator, as well as by Urbain Lambert on electric guitar.

Monday, we present concerts with singer-songwriters, acoustic bands, rootsy performers and other gems from the music world. All this as part of a series called 'De Maandag van Van Meurs' (Van Meurs' Monday).
