Trijntje Oosterhuis released her first album in 2006 in collaboration with grandmaster Burt Bacharach. The now 93-year-old Bacharach is perhaps one of the greatest composers of his generation, songs such as The Look Of Love, I Say A Little Prayer, That's What Friends Are For, Raindrops Keep Fallin', (They Long To Be) Close To You and many other pieces are from his hand. He has worked with Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin, Tom Jones and Elvis Costello, among others. His work is unique and is characterized by strong compositions and melodies.
The collaboration between Bacharach and Trijntje was a dream come true for her, and the album went multi-platinum in no time. Another album followed, Trijntje toured Japan with Bacharach and several performances followed. They got back together at the 2019 North Sea Jazz Festival and the musical click was still there. They decided to make another album, the album Everchanging Times with the Metropole Orchestra and produced by Vince Mendoza.
