The London-based jazz collective KOKOROKO is conquering more and more stages. Now they're on stage with us and they're bringing the London jazz scene to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. This is going to be fun!

 

With pre-party & after-party

The doors of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven open at 7:15 PM, so you can already warm up during the preparty, where DJ H the Hype from Jazzjunkies and Global Adventures plays. He will also throw a real party in the 2nd foyer afterwards!

KOKOROKO is a young, London-based Afrobeat 8-member band led by trumpeter Sheila Maurice-Grey. Inspired by Fela Kuti, Ebo Taylor, Tony Allen and the great sounds coming out of West Africa, the band prides itself on putting on a performance to honor the master who taught them.

Winners of 'Best Group' at the Urban Music Awards 2020, KOKOROKO specialize in a soul shaking, horn filled sound with West African roots and Inner London tones. Having played many UK/EU Festivals including Glastonbury, Meltdown Festival, Elbjazz, Jazz a la Villette, Jazz a Vienne, Eden Festival and We Out Here. We look forward to expanding our reach around the world in 2022 and beyond.

This concert will take place in the 2nd Foyer of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven instead of in the Paterskerk of DomusDela. This is an unplaced concert. So there is free choice of seating.
