Sobral has lived in the United States and also in Spain, where he studied jazz for two years at the prestigious school Taller de Músics. During this time he composed his own songs, created several projects and discovered his musical identity. Through his participation in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017, Salvador quickly became one of Portugal's most internationally known artists. He won the festival with a song composed by his sister, Luísa Sobral, achieving the best result in the history of Eurovision.
In 2016, he released his first solo album, Excuse Me. In March 2019, almost two years after his victory at the Eurovison Song Contest, his second album Paris, Lisboa was released, with which he played a very successful tour accross Europe. In 2022 the Portuguese singer will come to us in Eindhoven to present his new album bpm. Salvador will not come alone, as he will also bring his four-piece band, consisting of Max Agnas (piano), André Rosinha (double bass), Bruno Pedroso (drums) and André Santos (guitar).
The songs on bpm emerged from an initial concept, developed during a retreat in the south of Portugal. Here Salvador and his musical partner Leo Aldrey outlined the foundations of the album, which contains 9 songs in Portuguese, two in English, and two in Spanish, and is a testament to Salvador's enduring versatility and vision.
