Melody Gardot, the New Jersey-based singer, guitarist and pianist, is known for her pleasingly subtly nuanced vocal style. With influences from jazz, folk, rock, and pop music, Gardot started her career in Philadelphia's nightclub scene. Five studio albums and comparisons to Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell and Eva Cassidy later, the musical talent has built a loyal fan base.

This concert is part of the anniversary concerts.

Melody's story is a special one. Early in her career, she survived a life-threatening bicycle accident, due to which she had to spend months in the hospital rehabilitating. Here her love for music was the best therapy she could get. During this period she wrote the songs that later formed the EP Some Lessons

In 2020, Melody Gardot released her most recent feat: the album Sunset In The Blue. It was the first new album she released in five years. From Paris With Love, the first single from the album, features a global orchestra of musicians from thirty different countries and was recorded in isolation during the first COVID-19 lockdown. The album received rave reviews and is considered another benchmark in the tradition of jazz music.
