This evening's programme is especially interesting for fans of the cello, but more in general for chambermusic from the romantic era. With cellist Christian Poltéra and pianist Ronald Brautigam the audience is in excellent hands for a concert like this. Both musicians have been around for a while and are still travelling the world to offer their music to a wide and loving audience.

Tonight's programme is extremely well chosen as it couples Brahms' two cello sonatas - a treat to listen to at any given time - to Röntgen's early but sophisticated work. A not so well known little gem that sits well in the limelight it deserves.
