Severin von Eckardstein is one of the most important German pianists of his generation. He plays solo recitals as well as concerts with orchestra in many of the great venues around the world. Especially in Muziekgebouw Eindhoven he is a much loved artist.

Chambermusic takes an important place in his repertoire. He often teams up with musicians like Barnabás Kelemen, Isabelle van Keulen, Igor Levit and Isang Enders to play in a chambermusic setting. With violinist Franzisca Hölscher he founded the Klangbrücken series in the Berliner Konzerthaus.

His recordings, featuring works by Schubert, Scriabin, Medtner, Wagner and Schumann received many awards, among them his 2018 Debussy and Dupont recording which won a Diapason d'Or.
