Doug MacLeod learned the blues from old masters. From a young age, he hung around bars where he was the only white person. Insprired by the artists he heard there, he took up the guitar and started writing songs. He bacame so good at playing the guitar that he was invited to share the stage with illustrious artists like George 'Harmonica' Smith, Big Joe Turner and Pee Wee Crayton.

In the meantime, Doug has become an old master himself. He released over 20 albums and toured the world. His recordings for the Reference Recordings label are acclaimed for the brilliant sound quality, and his awards cabinet is do full it's about to burst. This Multiple Blues Award winner, though, remains his modest self - his performances are like a warm bath. For those wanting to know more about Doug 'Dub' MacLeod there's Vincent Abbate's biography Who Is The Blues Vol. 1. A new album is due to be released as well, which will probably win Doug another award.

To quote Ad van Meurs once again: "listening to Doug is like listening to a friend who really means it and wants nothting but the best for you!
