Beautiful vocals, fragile songs, sometimes virtuoso fingerpicking and poetic lyrics: that's Irish singer-songwriter John Blek. With Nick Drake as a great source of inspiration, Blek, who now has Willy Vlautin (The Delines) as one of his biggest fans, succeeds time and again in touching his audience with his sensitive voice and subtle guitar playing. Although Blek has already released five rock-solid albums, he only really broke through in 2018 when he was nominated for best song at the International Folk Music Awards.

The sound of his voice and the atmosphere of John Blek can be situated somewhere between Gregory Alan Isakov, Jeff Buckley, Glen Hansard, Damien Rice and Tom Yorke (Radiohead). There is a very good chance that this Irishman is going to become really big, because with a voice like that, amazing songs with beautiful musical structures and melancholy melodies, we can only conclude that we are dealing with perhaps one of the most promising talents in the Irish music scene. John Blek is also known for his captivating live shows full of humor, pathos and his passionate musical experience. A master storyteller and a stunning fingerpicking guitarist.
