Lloyd Spiegel picked up the guitar at the age of four only to never let it go. At the age of twelve he toured the East Coast of Australia and at the age of 16 crossed over to the USA to experience the real life of a traveling blues musician. Here he came into contact with the founding fathers of modern blues and learned to connect with ordinary people around him. An important lesson that has always stayed with him, hence his statement "I'm not here to change the world, just to make it a bit more bearable".

Now, many years later, a large number of awards further and with a dozen albums to his name he still has an uninterrupted tour schedule and he has become the driving force of the acoustic blues scene in Australia. And not only in his own country but also abroad he is a highly respected musician. For example, he has toured Europe and the United States, opening for the likes of Ray Charles, Bob Dylan and Etta James.
