On Monday, February 6th a terrible disaster changed the lives of ten thousands of people in Türkiye and Syria. Multiple strong earthquakes caused immense damage. Thousands have perished and many others got injured. The whole of the Netherlands sympathizes with the people in Türkiye & Syria. Lots of residents of Eindhoven have family in the area and are very concerned. That is why Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, the Philips Wind Orchestra and Music from the Orient have decided to donate all proceeds from this concert to Giro 555.

The Philips Wind Orchestra and Music from the Orient will be collaborating in a performance featuring several soloists and musicians, bringing a varied programme of Turkish, Kurdish, Greek and Balkan songs. Among a range of repertoire, this collective will also perform some beautiful compositions by Turkish composers Ulvi Cemal Erkin and Fazil Say. The aim of this collaboration is to connect people from different backgrounds and cultures through music.

Tickets for children up to 12 years old are €12.50 and children up to 4 years old can attend this concert for free. These free tickets can only be booked through our Ticket Office. You can reach them at tickets@mgehv.nl or by phone at +31 40 244 20 20.
