In this program, Score Collective, the Conservatorium van Amsterdam's ensemble for new music, considers the work of Danish composer Per Nørgård, who turns 90 this year - and whose Opus 1, Kvintet, reaches the respectable age of 70 next year. Over the past seven decades, aspects such as serialism, minimalism, spectralism, and Eastern philosophy and music, among others, played a role in his composing - and the voice is prominent in his oeuvre.

From Nørgård's oeuvre, Cora Burggraaf and Arnold Marinissen put together a program with compositions from all seven decades. This brings to the stage the work of a composer who can only be heard sporadically in the Netherlands in all its richness. Cora Burggraaf, who was already a guest of Score Collective in 2021, studied the works with the students, and signed for the mise-en-scène.
