Moya Brennan, The voice of Clannad already managed to touch many hearts with her beautiful and completely unique voice. It earned her a Grammy, among other things, in addition to a wonderful and impressive career. Because Clannad will cease to exist in 2022 after 52 (!) years, this gives Moya Brennan all the space she needs to tour under her own name; something she has done before, but always combined with Clannad. In December, she will tour the Netherlands with her own band with a Christmas programme, bringing her warmth for a special series of concerts, which, by the way, will not only feature Christmas songs, but also Clannad songs, songs from solo projects and film themes.

In short, the audience will be taken on a special and intimate musical journey. This will include songs from her Christmas album An Irish Christmas (a Celtic-inspired album of classical and contemporary music), including Silent Night, In the Bleak Midwinter, In Dulci Jubilo and Joy to the World.

'The First Lady of Celtic music', has become known for her family band, Clannad, which has sold more than 15 million albums, has also written international film soundtracks and toured around the world. Moya Brennan's sister, Enya, was also in the band in the early 1980s and then established herself as a global phenomenon as a solo artist.

Moya Brennan has been behind an impressive number of musical productions through to a range of Irish, film, spiritual and even dance recordings. Hailing from Donegal, in the north-west of Ireland, she learned to sing and play the harp as a schoolgirl and that was the beginning of a lasting love.
