The process of rehearsal that takes place prior to a concert is something that the audience usually has no insight into. The philharmonie zuidnederland therefore opens rehearsals to the public several times a season.

The company is known as the professional symphony orchestra of the Southern Netherlands and seeks the connection with all inhabitants of North Brabant, Limburg and Zeeland. philharmonie zuidnederland achieves this through a rich range of activities. From large symphonic concerts with beloved repertoire pieces in the concert halls, to new concert formulas in unexpected locations. From Carnival concerts to the business event Leading the South, scientific research in cooperation with the MCICM and collaboration with amateur musicians and up-and-coming talent. Education is of paramount importance: the orchestra offers students aged 4 to 18 magical moments with music. This makes philharmonie zuidnederland an orchestra of and for everyone: a vibrant company that always and everywhere delivers tailor-made work at the highest level with enthusiastic musicians and staff. Under the leadership of intendant Stefan Rosu, philharmonie zuidnederland is an orchestra that continually pushes its boundaries.
