Support act: Celine Cairo
Celine Cairo is an Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter whose music is best described as sophisticated indie pop. She debuted with an EP recorded by Fink, released her debut album "Free Fall" in 2016 and won the Silver Nutcracker with it. With her layered melancholy and poignant voice, Celine has supported HAEVN, Dodie, Asgeir and Alex Vargas, among others. She also performed at ESNS and gave a concert at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven last May.
Her new album 'Overflow' was released on 27 August 2021. She worked on the new songs for three years between London and Amsterdam, where she collaborated with Brit Tim Bran (London Grammar, Birdy, HAEVN) and German Benjamin Rheinlander (Laura Sjin, Benedict, Dave Buddha). The result is a strong pop album featuring a mix of acoustic instruments, subtle electronics and her signature voice. Celine's narrative lyrics about growing up in a rapidly changing and digitising world are the icing on the cake.
