Right from his first releases and performances, Maurice van Hoek was credited with a promising future in the Americana scene. The Rotterdam-based singer-songwriter will bring his country-rock to Eindhoven on May 22! In recent years, Van Hoek has collaborated a lot with other artists and many fellow musicians have made use of his qualities as a songwriter and accompanist. For example, he was Douwe Bob's musical right-hand man for a long time and he is both producer, co-songwriter and band member of the Harlingen talent Boaz, with who he shared the Americana Mondays stage on March 27. Meanwhile, Maurice also started a bluegrass band The Switchbacks, which has allowed him to further refine his guitar playing. The experiences and skills gained have made Van Hoek an even more versatile artist.

Support act: NATHALÍE

'Progressive Folk Pop', as they call it themselves. This acoustic adventurous band has found its voice in writing its own songs. With a palette of pop, folk, jazz and even classical, they have a strong sound of their own and are a true adventure on stage. At times, it is reminiscent of the freedom of Joni Mitchell and the warm sound of Alison Krauss. Front woman Nathalie Schaap (Douwe Bob, Bertolf) recently won the Overijssel 2022 cultural talent award. Together with Jos van Ringen and Mark Schimmel, they stand out on the Dutch music scene. Next year, for instance, they will perform at Het Concertgebouw, Studio 150, the Cactus, Amersfoort Jazz and many more relevant venues in the Netherlands.
