During this Americana Mondays concert, Dutch singer-songwriter and guitarist Mercy John, together with his pianist Kirsten Boersma, will perform his songs in an acoustic setting. This evening, Mercy not only sings his beautifully written songs, but also tells you the stories behind them. In short, a nice insight into the singer's life. Mercy John wrote songs with various artists such as Niels Geusebroek, Rolf Sanchez and even co-wrote the mega hit 'Roller Coaster' with Danny Vera. Last October, Mercy's third studio album 'Nights On Fire' was released, which he will of course perform at this concert.

Support act: Rosa Spruit

A clear voice with a slight country sob. 'Nightingale of the Huts' the farming hamlet in the far outskirts of Bergeijk where she hails from. Pop music with an acoustic guitar as a colour palette and melancholy as an important weapon. She recently released her first singles. Rosa's song 'Tussen Stad en Platteland' was picked up by many stations. The eponymous album will be released in June 2023. This will be followed in autumn by the first singles from her second album, filled entirely with her own songs. On 8 May, she will play mostly her own work from that second album.

His acoustic playing, those screeching guitars, that ever-tight tempo, that grand dynamic, that warm voice, that lap steel crying along and serving as shoulder Hammond, that sincerity in his words full of self-criticism - it's so beautiful.
