Lunchtime concert

These jazz students from the Academy of Music & Performing Arts in Tilburg have been challenged to take a closer look at the swing tradition. Together, they approach swing, bebop, and more jazz styles from tradition and from a modern lens. The players come from different cultural and musical backgrounds, giving the music a playful and fresh character.

The programme includes traditional swing songs by artists such as Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Cole Porter and more. The band consists of Youri Traa on drums, Ernests Zviedris on Double Bass, Darius Koszewski on Guitar, WenQian Li and Jarich Adamson on Piano, Stef van Uden on trumpet, and Afke Flaviana as vocalist.
