In 2022, Matteo Myderwyk gave a wonderful concert at the Paters Church and in December we welcome him to our Small Hall. In June of this year his brand new album "A Brief Nostalgia" will be released, which consists of twelve tracks composed for various pianos, harmonium, organ, church organ, synthesizers and drum computers. Years of training as a classical pianist at the conservatory taught him above all to leave music of his heroes Bach, Liszt and Messiaen behind and find his own musical language. First of all, he decided to throw off all classical rules, which is how he ended up in the wonderful world of free jazz. Making music without pre-arrangements; to have the goal of making music in the moment.

His music is constantly evolving and his live shows are extremely varied. Often enough, he breaks with traditional laws by constantly improvising with choices of instruments, appearing on as many different stages with an arsenal of synthesizers, beat machines and organs. From a festival, to a club, a church or concert hall like Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.
