We celebrate this together with you! Deeply connected to the DNA of philharmonie Zuidnederland are the French refinement and sensual timbres that shine in Ravel's Daphnis et Chloé. The prelude to a crazy adventure with one of the fastest rising stars in the classical world, South African cellist and musical all-rounder Abel Selaocoe.

Singing and bowing, Abel Selaocoe mixes his African roots with classical sounds in the Cello Concerto he composed especially for our birthday orchestra. Swinging, we move on to Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances, led by our proud British chief conductor Duncan Ward. The final masterpiece, full of melancholy, dramatic contrasts and symphonic brilliance. This anniversary concert will be one of the first unforgettable moments of happiness in philharmonie zuidnederland's new season.
