'Music will be my life,' violinist Arabella Steinbacher knew at the age of four. 'I played Bach with my father at the piano. I saw my reflection in that shiny black grand piano, heard that beautiful music and wanted only one thing: that this would never stop.' And it never stopped. For years, top soloist Arabella Steinbacher has been sharing her joy of music with an audience of millions. Guest conductor Michael Sanderling conducts works by two Czech grandmasters. Vibrant folklore, fresh and rugged like the landscape of their homeland. At the heart of this concert programme is Max Bruch's much-loved Violin Concerto. 'I prefer to play it with my eyes closed,' Arabella told me, 'then I get into a flow with the musicians, the conductor and the audience. As if we are all one.'
