2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the Five Great Guitars! 25 years of guitar music of the very highest level. Since 1999, founder and artistic director Jan Kuiper and guitar bassist Digmon Roovers have been touring throughout the Netherlands with their super guitar group Five Great Guitars. An exciting journey through the world of modern guitar with improvisation as the connecting factor. A unique mix of blues, rock, funk, gypsy, pop, jazz and world music. With swinging grooves and rhythms from all over the world. They will celebrate this with a wonderful new programme. GUITAR HEROES. After the highly successful Santana tribute tour Black Magic Woman, the current line-up proved to be a perfect combination of virtuosity, surprising arrangements and very swinging, danceable guitar grooves: a dream line-up. With so many combination possibilities, the very best guitar shows will be brought to Dutch stages in the coming decades.

GUITAR HEROES

Of course, the members of Five Great Guitars also all once started re-enacting the songs and solos of their own GUITAR HEROES. In this new programme, songs by the likes of J.J. Cale, Larry Carlton, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac, Santana, Django Reinhardt, The Allman Brothers Band and other GUITAR HEROES are given a fitting and unique arrangement in an original way. Guitar music of the highest level, played by five top Dutch guitarists who have been guaranteeing a unique combination of quality, humour and virtuosity for decades.
