‘In the past, like Paganini, he would have been called a son of the devil,’ The New York Times wrote in admiration of Swedish clarinet player and conductor Martin Fröst.

He raised clarinet virtuosity to an unparalleled level and knows how to combine his excellence with conducting an orchestra. His conducting the South Netherlands Philharmonic is testimony to the orchestra’s high quality. Fröst brings with him his own arrangements of Telemann and Vivaldi, is the stellar soloist in Weber’s First Clarinet Concerto, and tops it all off with Beethoven. It’s already a memorable concert.

The performance by Martin Fröst is made possible by the partner programme of the Friends Foundation of the South Netherlands Philharmonic.

To keep waiting times down to an absolute minimum, this concert makes use of a cash-free interval. Interval drinks are included in your tickets: the perfect solution to enjoy your company and your drink as long as possible!
