Victor Julien-Laferrière was the winner of the renowned Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2017 and the CD he made with Adam Laloum, with whom he frequently performs as a duo, won them a Diapason d’Or and was voted France Musique’s Editor’s Choice.


‘Just be happy.’ This retort was given by Brahms to a cellist playing his brand-new First Cello Sonata for the first time after he complained that Brahms was playing so loudly that he was unable to hear himself. This will certainly not be the case this evening.
