A piece that every great flautist has on his or her repertoire: André Jolivet’s Chant de Linos. Commissioned for the 1944 Paris Conservatoire Competition, this passionate work is about Lino, the teacher of the mythical Orpheus.

It was also the work with which the most famous flute player of our times, Jean-Pierre Rampal, won the very same competition. French flautist Hélène Boulègue will be performing several other great flute sonatas as well: Reinecke’s Undine, the sensitive representative of German Romanticism in this concert, and Francis Poulenc’s world-famous sonata. A splendid and varied programme with the most beautiful pieces ever written for the flute.

A delicious cheese plate and a nice glass of wine will be included at this concert, before or after the concert you are welcome in the foyer.
