Objectives

The Friends Association of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven aims to promote musical activities in the city of Eindhoven, with a focus on events organized by Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. To achieve this goal, the Friends Association engages in the following activities:

  • Supporting the development of young talent
  • Supporting various activities organized by Muziekgebouw Eindhoven 
  • Organizing free music lectures on various musical topics 
  • Facilitating music education for schools
  • Organizing activities in collaboration with Muziekgebouw Eindhoven – for both members and non-members


Management

The board of the Friends Association meets regularly to decide on the allocation of available funds. The funds of the Friends Association come from membership fees and donations. These funds are used solely for projects/activities that contribute to the achievement of the association's objectives. The allocation of funds is included in the annual report and budget and is presented for approval to the members during the Annual General Meeting. The Association does not own any real estate.


Financial Year / Annual Statements and Report

The financial year of the Friends Association runs from August 1st to July 31st. At the end of each financial year, the board compiles an annual report. The treasurer reports on the finances of the past financial year through a balance sheet and an income and expenditure overview. The accuracy of the financial reporting is verified by a rotating audit committee, consisting of two members of the Friends Association. Furthermore, the annual report provides insight into the activities organized by the Friends Association and how the association's funds are spent. The annual report is discussed at the Annual General Meeting and published on this webpage annually.

LATEST NEWS: During the general meeting held on February 19th, a majority vote decided to dissolve the Friends Association of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. In spring 2024, the existing membership base will be integrated into the organization of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Friends activities and membership recruitment will continue under the new name: Friends of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. The report of this decision can be found on this page.
