  • Cristina Branco

    Portuguese fado singer

    Comparisons with Amália Rodrigues appear recurring and inevitable. Branco is known for seamlessly pairing tradition with fado innovation. In doing so, she seeks freedom in music, but with the emotional depth of the genre. Through her modern approach to traditional fado, enriching it with jazz, world music and pop, she has developed a completely unique style. The performer has been a much-loved personality on Dutch stages for years and has collaborated with BLØF, among others, in the past. This year, Cristina once again dives into the studio to surprise and entertain her audience with new music and a new show.

  • Melike Şahin

    Renowned Turkish pop artist

    Melike Şahin, one of the most renowned Turkish artists of the moment, is coming to Eindhoven! Since her debut album "Merhem," she has become an integral part of the big stages in Turkey. She toured the world with the psychedelic cult band BaBa ZuLa, and since 2017, she has been conquering the charts with a blend of pop, psychedelic and electronic music, and influences from the disco scene, with hits like "Deli Kan" and "Nasır." She combines elements from both Mediterranean and Arabic music, and through the use of keyboards, the electronic bağlama, and Oriental violins, a unique style emerges.

  • Ladysmith Black Mambazo

    World famous South African choir

    Paul Simons' world-famous a capella choir 'Graceland' has been one of the most successful South African acts ever for over 50 years. They won five Grammys and accompanied Nelson Mandela at the presentation of his Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo in 1993. Over the years, the original members have welcomed a number of younger members. The newer members provide the group with their youthful energy. Their beautiful and heartfelt harmonies are irresistible, recognisable from thousands and spread a message of peace.

  • Michel Camilo & Tomatito

    Jazz and flamenco merge together

    Jazz pianist Michel Camilo and flamenco guitarist Tomatito have been collaborating since 1999 and will be performing together for the first time on our stage in 2024! The duo will present a new project at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, based on Joaquín Rodrigo's famous 'Concierto de Aranjuez' in a beautiful version for flamenco guitar and piano. 'Aranjuez' will be a unique evening where Rodrigo's music blends with highlights from Michel and Tomatito's repertoire, including songs from their joint albums "Spain," "Spain Again," and "Spain Forever." Jazz, classical, flamenco, swing, and duende, all packed into a single evening!

  • Metin & Kemal Kahraman Ensemble

    Enchanting Zaza, Alevi, and Turkish melodies

    Metin & Kemal Kahraman Ensemble takes you on a cultural journey through the stories, love, history, and spirituality of Dersim, converging in enchanting Zaza, Alevi, and Turkish melodies. Metin and Kemal Kahraman released their first album "Deniz Koydum Adını" in 1993, leaving a lasting impression on a wide audience. In the following years, they released various outstanding works, establishing themselves as one of the foremost contributors to Dersim Zaza music.

    During BRIDGE Guitar Festival, you'll encounter not only the traditional guitar but also numerous other exceptional string instruments. The Gambian singer-songwriter Sona Jobarteh is renowned for her virtuosity on the kora, a West African string instrument that could be described as a combination of a harp and a guitar. As the first female virtuoso on the kora, she is a pioneer in a tradition that has been passed down exclusively from father to son for the past seven centuries. Jobarteh is internationally recognized for her eclectic mix of blues, afropop, and traditional music. She will be returning to Eindhoven for the opening of BRIDGE Guitar Festival 2024!

    Eliades Ochoa, one of the original members of the Cuban musical ensemble Buena Vista Social Club, is coming to Eindhoven with his signature hat, cowboy boots and unique songs full of life wisdom! You won't get any closer to the sound of the original band. His latest album, "Guajiro," was released in 2023 and tells the story of his life. With "Guajiro," he adds a new chapter, merging all parts of his legendary life and career into a compelling personal testament.

  • Gipsy Kings by Diego Baliardo

    Traditional flamenco with modern influences

    Experience the passion of flamenco with Gipsy Kings by Diego Baliardo in Eindhoven! Let yourself be carried away by the vibrant melodies of the iconic group, led by founding member Diego Baliardo, heir to the legendary Manitas de Plata. The Gipsy Kings are renowned for their blend of traditional flamenco styles with Western pop and Latin influences. In 1987, they made a breakthrough with their album "Gipsy Kings," which achieved gold and platinum status. Millions of people fell in love with their unique sound, showcased in popular songs like "Bamboléo," "Volare," and "Djobi Djoba." It promises to be a lively evening!

  • Anoushka Shankar

    Sitar virtuoso and daughter of Ravi Shankar

    Master sitarist and composer Anoushka Shankar is coming to Eindhoven for the first time! She was born in London as the daughter of the legendary Indian sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar. Anoushka extends her repertoire beyond traditional Indian classical music and explores various genres, including fusion, world music, and electronic music. Shankar has collaborated with artists from diverse cultures such as Herbie Hancock, Sting, and her half-sister Norah Jones. During this concert, she will showcase the beautiful music from her previous albums and perform tracks from her latest EP, "Chapter II: How Dark It Is Before Dawn."

    Loreena McKennitt is a Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for her unique style of music, often described as Celtic, folk, world music, or new age. Her music is characterized by her beautiful vocals, virtuosic harp playing, and the use of various ethnic instruments. One of her most well-known songs is "The Mummers' Dance" from 1997. Other popular songs by Loreena include "Tango to Evora," "The Mystic's Dream," and "Dante's Prayer." Her music is often associated with tranquility, spiritual reflection, and a sense of mysticism.
