Peter Gijsbertsen’s talent was already widely known at the time. He had already performed in opera houses such as the Bolshoi and Glyndebourne and halls such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Royal Albert Hall. Singers often tend to opt for Schubert’s Winterreise or Die Schöne Müllerin, but now it is time for his final vocal opus. Perhaps even more beautiful, it was dubbed his ‘swan song’ for a good reason. Including the famous and intense Ständchen ‘Leise flehen meine Lieder.’

A cheese selection & wine or another intermission beverage is included in the ticket price for this series.
