Traveling star in the world of guitar: the Russian Vera Danilina! That was bound to happen, if you manage to win a competition at 16 (the Frauchi Competition in Moscow). A brilliant technique, beautiful sound and completely ready for the stage: she leaves her listeners breathless. Her most recent achievement: the first prize of the Concorso di Chitarra Classica Michele Pittaluga, Italy. How many colors the guitar can produce, 25-year-old Danilina exhibits this afternoon.

Bach. Cleverly arranged - quite surprising to hear him on guitar. He sounds slightly lighter than on a harpsichord, piano, or organ. The Spaniard Joaquín Rodrigo is famous for his guitar concerto: the sultry, nostalgic Concierto de Aranjuez. Today, we have the brilliant Toccata by this composer and guitarist who was blind from the age of three. Almost as surprising as Bach is Mozart on guitar. Vera Danilina performs two movements from his most famous piano sonata, the one in A, KV331. Known for its Rondo Alla Turca. Around 1780, it was fashionable to incorporate influences from the exotic Turks into your music. Of course, Mozart succeeded best in that regard.
