Singer Anneke van Giersbergen has one of the most versatile voices in the Netherlands: powerful and vulnerable at the same time. She gained fame as the frontwoman of The Gathering, but has since enjoyed a successful solo career for many years. In early 2023, Anneke performed in a sold-out Small Hall, and will be taking the stage of our Main Hall for the first time, marking the grand finale of the tour! Get ready for classics from Iron Maiden, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, and Anneke's personal heroes, Mastodon.

It was her older brother who introduced Anneke to some the 'heavy music' genre , and for a young Anneke, it immediately felt like home. In honor of Metallica's 40th anniversary, the talk show M asked Anneke if she would like to sing "Nothing Else Matters" with a string quartet. Ruud Peeters created a beautiful arrangement, and thus the idea for a new collaboration was born. Tonight, the songs will be performed without drums and electric guitars, but in new semi-classical arrangements for vocals, piano, and string quartet.

Performing in the Main Hall of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven is a new milestone in my career. I am incredibly excited about it!
