For years, The Golden Glows skilled themselves in long-forgotten americana, but in recent years have focused more on their own repertoire. You can hear the result on 'Sunrise', pure songs, deeply rooted in tradition. Change and transformation is the thread running through the album and it comes in many forms and guises. A dreamy, poetic album with a singular message which they also want to convey live: every day can be a new beginning in life. Through intriguing imagery and recurring symbols - rivers, stars, names, dreams or the sun itself - 'Sunrise' reveals its secrets bit by bit.
