Named after McKinley Morganfield, better known as Muddy Waters, it's not surprising that McKinley James became a musician. Especially when you're the son of Jason Smay, the drummer for JD McPherson. You could say that roots music runs in McKinley's veins. Perhaps that's why, despite his young age, he sounds like a true blues veteran. His style is best described as a blend of Stax and Motown soul with the blues of Magic Sam and Otis Rush. Accompanied by his father on drums, he'll be performing in Eindhoven.

McKinley James grew up in Rochester, New York, and later moved to Nashville with his family. At the age of seven, McKinley started playing the Hammond organ. A few years later, he transitioned to the guitar. Soon, he began performing in various blues and jazz clubs around Rochester. Despite being only 22 years old, he has already graced stages and festivals worldwide. McKinley has toured with notable acts such as The Mavericks, JD McPherson, Nick Waterhouse, and Old 97's. In 2021, he released his latest EP, "Still Standing By," featuring a blend of Motown soul and blues-inspired guitar playing. His live album, "LIVE!," was released in 2022, and showcases McKinley's impressive musical talents.

Henk Johannes is the new project from singer and songwriter Henk Wesselink. For years, he has been performing with his rock band, Money & the Man, at stages and festivals throughout the Netherlands, but now he's showing a different side of himself. Henk writes songs about everything he experiences, and his music is reminiscent of Dan Auerbach, Kurt Vile, War On Drugs, and Arctic Monkeys. He aims to express himself through lyrics and melody, and to create as much music as possible. His music should take on a life of its own in your mind. Whether it's self-pity, the best day of your life, or someone you miss, the choice is yours. Henk is joined by Jim Zwinselman on guitar.
