Discover the captivating music of Dutch pianist and composer Joachim Challem. Born in the Netherlands, he grew up with his two mothers and brother. After years of studying piano, he realized that life encompasses more than just music. He strongly believes that nature is the greatest teacher for all the complex thoughts a person can acquire. That's why he partially lives his life in the unfamiliar mountains of Northern Spain, seeking his own home. Consequently, he composes his music on various pianos in different countries, environments, and moods. His music resonates with many due to its honesty. His emotions, voice, movement, and reactions are communicated through his piano.

Challem's long-awaited debut album 'The Road' tells the story of the pianist's quest for a home, which leads him to the north of Spain where he works on building his own house. During his journey, he discovered the mountains of Asturias where special friendships were formed. Each day, he gains a clearer vision of his dream, resulting in these 12 compositions. Challem’s new album 'The Road' is a tale of finding direction while simultaneously letting go. You may have a plan in life, but sometimes life has a plan for you. The dream lies in living it.

In 2022, Joachim Challem began releasing his initial works with great success. His music reached the top spot on the classical charts and was streamed over 15 million times across various platforms. Alongside the support of Calm Radio & ClassicNL, Challem was a frequent guest on NPO Radio 1 & NPO Klassiek, where he performed live and gave extensive interviews about his upcoming releases.
