Pianist Babette Craens and soprano Fleur Strijbos, both graduates of the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, share a love for the Lied. In 2022, they joined forces and formed a Lied duo, inspired by their mutual appreciation for poetry and lyrical melodies. Selected for the 'Udo Reinemann Masterclasses Lied Duo 2022-2023' and the semi-finals of 'Supernova 2024', they present a unique interpretation of Lied repertoire. They put their own twist on it and take you into their world. Their debut performance took place during the 'Young Masters' concert by Beaujean-Live in March 2023, and now they are performing at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.

Babette Craens was born into a musical family and began playing the piano at the age of 4. At 14, she was discovered by Heidi Hendrickx, Levente Kende, and Nicolas Callot. Babette started her conservatory studies at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp at the age of 17, where she completed her bachelor's and master's degrees with great distinction. She has won multiple national piano competitions, including the Steinway Competition. Additionally, she was selected for prestigious festivals, Young Talent programs, and masterclasses, where she further developed her skills under the guidance of renowned pianists.

Soprano Fleur Strijbos received her education from Anne Cambier at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp and Barbara Bonney at the University Mozarteum Salzburg. She completed her master's degree with highest distinction in Antwerp. Fleur's achievements include winning prizes such as the second prize at the Lions Club National Music Competition for Singers 2022, and reaching the semi-finals of the 22nd International Opera Competition Ottavio Ziino 2023 in Italy. She is recognized as 'Young Talent' at prominent Belgian festivals and participated in the Puccini Festival Academy.
