Twenty Grammy Awards in ten different categories; American jazz guitarist and composer Pat Metheny can add it to his resume. He is the only artist ever to achieve this feat! Metheny's music is known for its unique blend of styles, including jazz, rock, funk, and Brazilian influences, which together create a harmonious and uplifting atmosphere. Nearly 50 years ago, Pat broke through internationally with his debut album "Bright Size Life." Tonight, Pat Metheny is coming to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven for the first time with two brand new solo albums, "Dream Box" and "MoonDial." In addition to new songs, Metheny will also play personal favorites and hits from his nearly 50-year career. With various guitars in his arsenal and an orchestrion built by himself, it promises to be a fantastic evening.

With his debut album "Bright Size Life," Pat renewed the traditional sound of jazz guitar for a new generation of players. Throughout his career, Pat Metheny has continually changed the genre by using new technologies and developing his improvisational and sonic capabilities. Metheny's versatility is nearly unmatched on any instrument. He has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Steve Reich, Ornette Coleman, Herbie Hancock, Jim Hall, Milton Nascimento, and David Bowie. Metheny has composed for solo guitar, small ensembles, electric and acoustic instruments, large orchestras, ballet pieces, and even the robotic instruments of his Orchestrion project, all while continuing to explore the boundaries of each genre.
