M•Fund

As one of the most relevant music institutions in the Netherlands, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven has a mission and a responsibility: to create artistic and social societal values through responsible cultural entrepreneurship. Private financing is of great importance for realizing our mission. Therefore, we seek connections with individuals who have a warm heart for culture, especially music.

Thanks to donations from private benefactors, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven can, for example, support young talent in building a professional music career, develop educational programs for young and old, and organize various activities to reach and welcome new audiences. This is essential to allow the musical and cultural climate in Eindhoven and beyond to flourish.

Additionally, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven seeks to connect with a broader audience in the Brainport Region Eindhoven, with a focus on social and societal impact as well: for example, in the past year, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven reached as many as 22,321 new people with the new programme "Diversity & Inclusion".

Benefactor's evenings

Antwerp Symphony Orchestra & Jaap van Zweden
No work of Mahler's has come so directly from his heart as this: "we shed tears, so deeply did we experience this music." A passionate piece. But also a very tightly constructed piece. Despite all its emotional extremes, this is one of Mahler's most balanced symphonies. 'Tragic' is its nickname. But does anyone actually perish in it? At one point, two very loud wooden hammer blows sound. The Hero felled by Fate? Mahler himself didn't actually know. He did know, however, that elsewhere, as a counterweight, cowbells had to sound, as reminiscent of a peaceful alpine meadow. Tragic or not, Mahler wrote one of the largest orchestral compositions ever: eight horns, six trumpets, and an enormous amount of percussion! The Antwerp Symphony Orchestra eagerly takes on the challenge. Perhaps their name doesn't sound so familiar to you yet; previously, it was called the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Flanders, and then simply theFilharmonie. The name changed, but the quality remained the same.
Christmas dinner & concert - Candlelight Concerts
A multi-sensory music experience by candlelight in the unique ambiance of the Paterskerk in Eindhoven. This Candlelight Concert is perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit with your guests. The Candlelight Concert series initially started with classical music only; however, its tremendous success has led to a broadening of genres. During this exclusive concert, you will hear a mix of pop and classical music, with a nod to the December season, of course. As part of this evening program, we will provide you and your guests with a dinner before the concert. Afterward, you and your guests are warmly invited to join us for drinks and mingling in the atmospheric Paterskerk.
Maria João Pires
We don't hear her as often nowadays; her performances have become rare. So when she does perform, Maria João Pires, the petite, slender Portuguese with the elegant touch... Or as the Penguin Guide wrote about her performances of Mozart's piano sonatas: "Maria João Pires is a stylist and an excellent Mozartian. She is always refined, but never lacking in classical feeling, and possesses a vital imagination. She strikes an ideal balance between equilibrium and expressive sensitivity, conveying a sense of spontaneity in everything she does." Sometimes history comes close. For instance, in the Musée de l'Orangerie, we can see with our own eyes a painting by Renoir of the young woman Yvonne Lerolle, for whom Debussy composed the Sarabande and the Toccata from his Pour le piano. With the Sonata in B-flat, Schubert concluded his oeuvre for piano. He had only seven weeks left to live when he wrote this sonata. It is a mature, rich, and accomplished work; as Schubert could make the piano sing, scarcely anyone else could. Maria João Pires brings along a duo partner for a program featuring solo works and quatre mains.
Dinner on Stage
A unique evening, specially for the benefactors of the M•Fund. Enjoying music and dinner together in the ambiance of the main hall of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.
Graden concert
The M•Fund season will be concluded with a festive private concert by a young musician in the garden of one of the patrons. An atmospheric, cozy evening in an intimate setting.

Your gift and the tax authorities

M•Friends is part of the M•Fund. The M•Fund has been designated by the tax authorities as an ANBI (Public Benefit Organization) and is considered among the cultural charitable organizations. This means that you can deduct your gift from your income tax or corporate tax return. You do not need to take into account the value of the privileges you receive.

Thanks to the "Geeftwet" (Gift Law), you enjoy additional benefits; you can temporarily increase the first €5,000 of your gift by 25% when filing your tax return. The tax authorities accept that you deduct a quarter more than you have donated. However, a maximum of €1,250 applies. The amount you donate to the M•Fund above the first €5,000 is, of course, also deductible.

You make optimal use of these benefits if you make a donation over a period of five years, in equal parts. For periodic donations, you can enter into a private agreement with the M•Fund.

The 125% multiplier applies exclusively to donations to cultural ANBIs. The actual extent of your deduction for gifts and the amount of your benefit depend on your specific situation.
