A story full of music and excitement for children. By Nazlı Gören Ülkü (trainer and founder of Minik Minik Felsefe) and Demet Altun (Turkish teacher and founder of Taal&Tuur).
2 PM, 3 PM & 4:15 PM: Drum je Vrij (Drum yourself Free), M by Muziekgebouw Eindhoven
Percussion Friends, together with Veysel Dzhesur, give educational percussion workshops focusing on percussion instruments from Turkey. People of all ages, experienced and inexperienced; everyone can join in to experience the fun of playing percussion and learn about the music from Turkey and other parts of the world. Veysel Dzhesur was born in Izmir, Turkey, where he began his musical career. He has since developed into a percussionist with a unique profile, combining traditions and styles from Turkey and the Middle East with Western classical music.
Drum je Vrij is a successful educational primary school project for groups 3 to 8 and is about the freedom you feel when you make music together. It is a collaboration between TROMP Percussion Eindhoven, Percussion Friends, the Van Abbemuseum and CultuurStation.
2:30 PM: Biz Cocuklar, Small Hall
Children's choir Biz Cocuklar performs a colourful repertoire in our small hall. The choir was founded by Seniz Duru.
3:45 PM: Güle oynaya çocuklar kids folk dance, Small Hall
Dance along with folk dance group Güle oynaya çocuklar. Experience this wonderful aspect of the Turkish culture in our Small Hall.
5:00 PM: Harmony Turkish Music Choir & S.A.T.E.N, Small Foyer
S.A.T.E.N is a Turkish pop-rock band founded in Eindhoven. The five band members have been making music together since 2022. S.A.T.E.N mixes Turkish music with Western sounds, creating a bridge through melodies, sounds and compositions. The performance by S.A.T.E.N. is followed by a performance by the Harmonie Populair Turkish Music Choir.
