In this special collaboration, the American guitarist Robben Ford and the Dutch big band Licks & Brains share their love for exploring new musical paths without losing sight of genuine emotion and inspiration. They perform songs from Robben Ford's latest solo album 'Pure', which have been arranged by Rolf Delfos, the leader of Licks & Brains, along with his musical partner Erwin Hoorweg. Both the blues and jazz rock, in which Robben Ford has had great success, will naturally be heard during this concert.

Robben Ford is one of the most acclaimed guitarists of his generation. He is known for his blues and jazz rock music and his ability to master various music styles. He has been nominated for a Grammy five times and has played alongside iconic artists such as Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, George Harrison, Bonnie Raitt, Michael McDonald, and many others. In Robben's music, his refined approach to the blues is always evident, but he also showcases a diverse style when it comes to the structure and style of his songs.

Licks & Brains is a Dutch 18-piece big band that plays soul, funk, jazz, and groove music. The band is led by Rolf Delfos, one of the most prominent alto saxophonists in the Netherlands. Licks & Brains perform with top artists from the Dutch and international jazz/funk scene. Their latest project, 'Electric Minds,' features guest artist Eric Vloeimans. The album showcases a mix of brass instruments, electronic rhythms, and adventurous music.
