Raymond van het Groenewoud is renowned as one of the most authentic wordsmiths in the Low Countries. In September, the Flemish singer, guitarist, and pianist will perform at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven for the first time. Raymond is one of the most versatile and influential figures in the Belgian music scene. His musical journey began in the 1970s, and since then, he has built an impressive repertoire. Classics like 'Meisjes,' 'Je Veux de l'amour,' 'Liefde voor muziek,' and 'Twee Meisjes' represent just a glimpse of his over fifty-year career. Van het Groenewoud is known for his eclectic style, blending elements of rock, pop, chanson, and blues.

In October, his latest EP 'Egoïst' was released, which he showcases at the concert in Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. On this EP, Van het Groenewoud once again reveals his musical imprint. The album, produced by Raymond himself, sheds light on his own life and takes a quirky look at society. Surrounded by familiar band members such as Cesar Janssens and Wouter Berlaen, the album delivers a recognizable sound reminiscent of his earlier work.
