With a playful interaction and energetic presence, BLISS Quintet has quickly established itself as a forward-thinking band within the Norwegian jazz community, with open music that draws both modernism and jazz tradition in their own personal direction. The band has developed a brilliant interplay, complementing two innovative horns with imaginative piano playing, intensely driving drums and a distinctive jest in the music from the relatively rare acoustic stringless bass guitar. BLISS Quintet's latest album "Glasshouse" was released in September on Jazzland Recordings, Bugge Wesseltoft's label.

So What’s Next Around Town

Traditionally, the festival fans out on the Sunday afternoon towards a series of atmospheric stages in the city of Eindhoven for So What's Next Around Town. You can enjoy a fine selection of promising new bands and special projects from the broad spectrum of jazz. The bands come from America, Europe and, of course, the Netherlands. So What's Next is an extra attractive way to get to know the latest jazz talent because admission to all concerts is completely free. So bring the whole family, make your own itinerary and enjoy surprising live jazz, beautiful stages and the wonderful atmosphere in the city centre around So What's Next Around Town.
