Karsu Dönmez, better known by her stage name Karsu, began her career with performances at her father's restaurant in Amsterdam. Since then, the Dutch-Turkish singer has transitioned to performing on major stages around the world. With her unique blend of pop, jazz, and Turkish music, Karsu has performed in over twenty countries, including three appearances at the famous Carnegie Hall in New York, at the prestigious North Sea Jazz Festival, and as the headliner of our very own jazz festival So What's Next in 2022. In 2025, Karsu returns to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven and uniquely blends her music with the strings of Amsterdam Sinfonietta during this New Year's tour.

In 2012, her debut album 'Confession' was released, followed by 'Colors' (2015), for which she received an Edison Award in June 2016. At the end of 2019, her third studio album 'Karsu' was released; an album with once again self-written English and Turkish lyrics. With this album, Karsu embarked on her first real club tour in the Netherlands. She also embarked on an extensive tour in Turkey, where she exclusively performed for sold-out venues. In 2021, millions of Dutch viewers watched her shine in Beste Zangers. Her renditions of 'Hijo de la Luna' and 'Je Suis Malade' (a duet with Belle Perez) soared to number 1 on various charts! In addition to her musical talents, Karsu also showcases her culinary skills in her own show on 24Kitchen.
