Metin & Kemal Kahraman Ensemble takes you on a cultural journey through the stories, love, history, and spirituality of Dersim, converging in enchanting Zaza, Alevi, and Turkish melodies. Metin and Kemal Kahraman released their first album "Deniz Koydum Adını" in 1993, leaving a lasting impression on a wide audience. In the following years, they released various outstanding works, establishing themselves as one of the foremost contributors to Dersim Zaza music.

The Kahraman brothers are two talented musicians, songwriters, and musicologists. They have gained recognition for their innovative musical style and deep involvement with Dersim Zaza music. In addition, they have made a significant contribution to the preservation and further development of the Zazaki language through various cultural works and research. The Zazaki language is recognized as endangered and listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Dersim Zaza music embodies the cultural fusion of that region, featuring a captivating blend of Zaza, Alevi, and Kurdish musical influences. The music often intertwines stories of love, history, and spirituality, reflecting the unique experiences and traditions of the people in the region.

In 2017, he relocated to Berlin, where he continues his musical activities.
